I am in the middle of the ARC of Lotus Empire, it's stressing me out but also I'm so happy to get back into one of my favorite fantasy worlds.

I also have ARCs of Heavenly Tyrant and Death of the Author (ecopy and physical), so those will be next! I completely forgot to include one more here, and it just so happens to be release day for Jamaica Ginger and Other Concoctions by Nalo Hopkinson. You can get this one directly from Tachyon Publications.

I just got Fledgling by S.K. Ali through libby just the other day. Super excited to read this title, it'll be my first read from this author.

I've already bought Joe Sacco's Palestine, a book that has been on my wishlist for years but has been sold out for a few months now. The paperback edition is usually available at libraries everywhere, that's how I first found it, but this hardcover release was just too beautiful to pass up. I picked it up at Silver Sprocket in SF (11/10 would recommend visiting).

I also grabbed a copy of When to Pick a Pomegranate by Yasmeen Abedifard the moment I could. It's such a beautiful comic.

Here's a link to the VizMedia one shot called Resenter written by the legendary Black mangaka herself, Gigi Murakami. This new program from VizMedia showcases new and up and coming manga to give them a fair shot in an industry that just seems to grow by the minute. Definitely check it out.
